Sementsov S. V.
The pecularities of historic construction of Saint-Petersburg and its vast agglomeration were considered. The authors determined the principles of urban planning and compositional construction based on the “ideal agglomeration” concept in the unity of artificial, natural and archeological landscapes, in terms of generation of unique historic urban planning genetic code. The authors defined the main historic urban planning features which were established by Peter I and gradually improved by his successors up to 1917 and also preserved later even till 1954—1955.
