The article describes the experience of the designing and constructing of the energy-efficient buildings, the form shaping principles of these buildings are discussed (architectural, urban planning and engineering energy saving tools). Special attention is paid to the experience of designing a “passive” house in Darmstadt. The article describes the experience of the design of a residential complex model of the energy-efficient buildings for the conditions of the Gatchina District, Leningrad Region. A description of architectural-planning, structural, engineering solutions of the complex is given. The technologies of using renewable energy sources in this model are also described.
