Method of functional priority assessment of territory, which exposes one of the ways of definition of the most rational and expedient kinds of functional use of territory during development and realization of territorial planning schemes was given. The method is based on ranging of factors of the complex assessment of the territory for different kinds of functional use, and calculation on the basis of this ranging of rating of functional territory priority. An example of using of developed methodology of assessment definition of functional value and distribution of functional specialization of recreational complexes of the Rostov region was given.
