The author considers the question of applying cross-river constructions (dams and rapids), mudflow flumes and slope terracing in the river-beds of mountainous watercourses of the upper Kuban river basin.
Some common characteristic features of theirs according to the planned location of the protective constructions and structure’s solidity are determined basing on the carried out field inspection of several existing protective constructions.
