Phenomenon of Post-War art

The author considers the specific cultural situation and the features of Soviet art in the 2nd half of 1940s – mid 1950s. The utopian orientation and mythogenic pathos as the main identifiable characteristics of this culture have been designated. The author has also revealed the characteristics of artistic language inherent both to official and chamber components of socialist realism art of that period. The specific features of “Stalinist Empire style” phenomenon are considered.
