STUDY OF PHYSICAL AND CHEMICAL CHARACTERISTICS OF ELECTROLYTES BASED ON EUTECTIC MIXTURE OF CHOLINE CHLORIDE AND UREA

The paper presents the results of the study of physical and chemical characteristics of electrolytes based on eutectic mixture of choline chloride and urea. The behavior of the system with different ratios of components depending on the temperature and time of mixing is studied. The basic physical properties of the electrolyte: viscosity, specific gravity and density, as well as the effect of the ratio of components and temperature on the electrical conductivity and electrochemical parameters of the eutectic are defined. Based on the analysis of cyclic current-voltage curves the value of "electrochemical window" is defined and the peculiarities of electrolytes of different compositions in a wide range of electrochemical potentials are revealed. Based on the data we found the optimum ratio of the components, ensuring maximum efficiency and ecological safety of electrolytes based on eutectic mixture of choline chloride and urea.
