Computational Geometry for Technical Drawings

A new topological and geometrical conception aimed at building modeling is being developed. This conception uses a cell for building modeling and avoids a set of drawbacks occurring when the building modeling is carried out on the base of rooms and structural members. The fragmentation of the technical drawings into simple polygons as well as the efficient fulfillment of the logical operations such as union, intersection, difference and symmetric difference over pairs of polygons are the prerequisites for the new conception’s appropriateness. Besides, fast geometrical identification of polygons by clicking on graphic interfaces is necessary.
