Adhesion of paintwork materials to the wood surface modified by phenylborates, by methods of parallel cuts and a normal separation was evaluated. Water solutions of mono- and diethanolamine(N→B)phenylborates were used as modifiers of wood. Acrylic enamel, pentaphtol enamel (PP-115) and nitrocellulose enamel (NC-132) were used as adhesive. The studies allow to conclude that the wood impregnation by protective composition increase adhesion of paintwork materials to the wood surface, especially for water-soluble enamels.
