FEASIBILITY OF WASTE HEAT RECOVERY FOR THE PURPOSE OF HEAT SUPPLY FROM THE BILLET OF THE METAL AFTER CASTING

The analysis of secondary energy resources use in the steel industry is carried out, the feasibility of conducting research in the specified direction is shown. The article proves that waste heat recovery from the billet of the metal after steel continuous casting machines for the needs of heat supply allows to reduce the consumption of natural energy resources and to reduce the costs of steel as well as to improve the ecological situation in the region adjacent to the industrial enterprise.
