The article is devoted to the formation of all-season recreational sports area in the city of Dzer-zhinsky in Moscow Oblast as part of developed sand pits. The process of creation of mountain skiing complex “Freestyle” is examined in the article, from the idea to the realization under conditions of fast-changing political, social and economic factors. Types of authorized work are presented in the table and are grouped in order of importance. The factors limiting the development of the territory are defined.
