Diagnostics methods for stress-corrosion damage of pipe steel

For the first time phenomenon concerning stress corrosion cracking in main gas and oil pipelines was marked about 30 years ago, and since then it became the reason of many failures resulting in outflow of gas or petroleum or even in explosion of pipelines. On the basis of the analysis of known methods of stress corrosion diagnostics and productivity of their application on gas pipelines "Severgasprom" the complex technique is offered. It allows adapting results of the control of a status of metal with the characteristics of an environment. The qualitative rating of a status of pipelines received by results of complex diagnostics is capable to solve questions of the stress corrosion prognosis at distribution of extended sites of a line on a degree of operational danger on many years forward.
