REGULATION OF STRESS STATE AND STABILITY OF EARTHWORK STRUCTURES

UDK: 624.131

Bogomolov A. N., Shiyan S. I., Solov′ev A. V., Bogomolova O. A.

The use of the new developed by the authors criterion of long stability supposes the application of different engineering actions for regulation of stress state and the process of development of areas of plastic deformations in soil massives that earthwork structures consist of. In the present paper the authors provide some examples illustrating as, when using these or those designs or all of them together, it becomes possible to transform the stress state of soil massif, to change the degree of its stability and to ensure its long safe operation.
