Volgograd Oblast is an area with a high potential of atmospheric pollution. Living areas and industrial activities are sources of the pollution, that is why the large industrial city of Volgograd is of great interest to study. Within the frameworks of a new approach in urban development, focused on the creation of biosphere compatible settlements, an estimate of inter-district transfer of pollutants in Volgograd over the period of 2010—2011 is presented.
