The article presents the results of an international project of Russian and Norwegian students. Project method promotes more active formation of cross-cultural communication and allows developing communicative competences. The linguistic-cultural component of the project method for foreign language classes is the basis for the formation of linguistic-cultural competence and positive perception of the city image.
