One of the methods to increase the road capacity in cities is the introduction of the coordinated traffic regulation. To improve the effectiveness of such regulation, it is necessary to take into account the stable speed of the flow on every “green wave” track when choosing “green wave” speed. The performed research of traffic regimes on the main street-road network in Volgograd city allowed us determine the dependence of the stable speed on the length of the track, the load level and deformations on the road surface.
